There are so many wonderful sights to see within a short drive. The magnificent Salisbury Cathedral (home of the Magna Carta), Stonehenge, Wilton House, and Salisbury racecourse are nearby. The beautiful city of Bath is about an hour's drive as are the delights of the Jurassic coast, Sherborne Castle, Stourhead gardens and the swannery at Abbotsbury.
